Calling all you last minute shoppers! I will be here with my illustrated products and some deals to help you get that last minute gift. There will be food, music, art, vintage decor, vintage clothing, handmade goods, and jewelry.
Taught by Lisa Burford, hosted by Raices Cultura, and sponsored by The City of Coachella, this 10-week virtual program for high schoolers was a fast-paced program all about digital arts.
Co-lead by Lisa Burford and Raices Cultura, this 2-day hands-on virtual workshop was an intro to zines with creative writing exercises and collage-style zine making.
Taught by Lisa Burford and hosted by Raices Cultura, this 8-week virtual program through the Migrant Education Program of Riverside County Office of Education was a fast-paced program for high school students all about digital arts and professional development. Participants also used their fresh skills to create concepts and designs for local businesses during the internship piece of the program. This program was part of a larger cohort in coordination with OneFuture Coachella Valley.
Virtual casual coffee chats. For a few minutes of our day, we socialize and share a cup of coffee and a little snack. It's all about slowing down and finding time for each other.
These small live workshops teach skills in Procreate from navigating the app to drawing our own desert landscapes to animating plant drawings.
A live interview with an aquarist and animal care supervisor on the topic of our oceans and plastic pollution for Plastic-Free July.
Live demonstrations of basic Ikebana techniques using desert plants.
Live workshops teaching the basics of graphic design like typography, hierarchy, logos, color theory, and more.
In-person workshops teaching participants how to press plant clippings into an herbarium-style book. Hosted at the Mojave Desert Land Trust.
Participants created their own arrangements in glass terrariums using succulents and cacti.
